Abstract
Society has been at peace for centuries with the One in charge. Where people use their wings not for fighting, but to enjoy life. However, that's not the view of Society some people have. Ebony has a lot on her plate. At the age of eighteen, women are paired with their husbands, yet she was never chosen by a man. Her tragic and mysterious past makes her seem as unlucky, her attitude unladylike. She's just another unwife soon to be cast out. Now at nineteen, she has one more try to find a man in the ceremony. However, her plan is a different one. She refuses to be paired and instead, wants to become the first woman to carry a craft. Will her plan go smoothly or will it crumble under the strong men-lead traditions of her winged society?
