Abstract
Disassociation is "…The breaking off of connexions of any kind, in any sort of combination… a functional interruption of associations or connexions in the mind…" When one disassociates, it could be for a variety of reasons such as meditation, manic episodes, or traveling to different locations. Through various forms of artistic endeavors, I outline what it means to disassociate. I practice different forms of disassociation through performance art and photography, while showcasing how uncertain disassociation is with printmaking. Disassociation is neither a good thing nor a bad thing, but rather an element in our lives.
