Abstract
The goal of the experiment was to use NaOH to break apart the lignin from the source material, vegetables/fruits, and H2SO4 to breakdown the cellulose bonds to glucose (Arita). The experiment resulted in multiple failed attempts and changes to the procedure until one was successful. There was no more time to continue testing, so the final results were that the cabbage had a 3% yield from the tested 5g value. This in turn means that 6% glucose was obtained due to the cabbage being 50% cellulose (Khukutapan).
