dc.description.abstractThis project was the design and implementation of multi-media marketing and promotion techniques for the cultural and community project Refugees Starting Over in Utica, NY (“Starting Over”). Starting Over is a SUNYIT sponsored project that set out to highlight refugee resettlement in Utica through a series of events and to create a community of practice through its web presence. This paper will first explore the refugee population in Utica. Second, the details of the project will be discussed. Lastly, the different multi-media tools that were used will be examined. These tools will be measured for effectiveness. Successes with the multimedia marketing elements will be shown.en_US
