The Office of Workforce Development.

SUNY's Office of Community Colleges and the Education Pipeline oversees a significant portfolio dedicated to workforce development. This includes state and federally funded programs for paid registered apprenticeships and workforce development training programs.

Through the Apprenticeship Programs at SUNY, in partnership with the business community, the NYS Department of Labor and U.S. Department of Labor, we support training in a variety of sectors including advanced manufacturing, healthcare, information technology/cybersecurity/artificial intelligence and other, non-construction sectors.

More than 5,100 individuals have been approved for, or are engaged in, pre-apprentice or apprentice training, instruction to enter the job market or training to provide skills to retain, or grow within a job. These courses may be credit or non-credit and provide a pathway to degrees and jobs.
