dc.description.abstract | his curriculum project was created to teach linear equations using scaffolding to help support student understanding of linear equations. This project includes four lessons that are presented using a stage approach to help students understand slope, slope-intercept form of a line, point-intercept of a line and linear modeling. The lessons are collaborative and involve scaffolding to build understanding by chunking smaller parts to support understanding of the overarching ideas embedded in linear equations. All lessons are aligned with the New York State Common Core standards for Algebra 1. Keys for all instructional materials are included in the appendix. | en_US |
