The rise in electronic cigarette usage amongst adolescents and adults throughout the recent years has given led to experimental research studying the various chemicals found in these devices as well as the physiological implications they pose on the human body. This research plans to perform a thorough differential analysis of chemicals found within various types of currently, and popularly, used electronic cigarettes. Liquid samples taken from the reservoirs of electronic cigarettes were prepped where chemical results were determined via Gas Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). A literature review of the found chemicals was referenced with different studies on neurological and physiological pathways within the human body where potential adverse, and unforeseen, effects of the chemicals on the body were stated and explained.Collections
