Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) is a phenomenon that is experienced frequently in the active population. As the name implies, the onset of muscle soreness occurs at a point in time long after the bout of exercise was performed. DOMS may hinder athletic performance through decreases in strength and range of motion (ROM) and may cause considerable pain upon movement. The goal of this paper is to investigate different therapeutic modalities as treatment for DOMS and determine which intervention produces the most desirable results by way of treating the signs and symptoms associated with delayed onset muscle soreness.Collections
