dc.description.abstractThis curriculum project focuses on instructional practices that promote a growth mindset through peer collaboration. Teachers seeking materials that support student learning in small groups or partnerships will find these lessons beneficial. The lessons focus on the first eight days of the school year towards developing sociomathematical classroom norms of collaboration, allowing for students to be challenged and encouraged by their peers. This curriculum project includes the following topics; order of operations, evaluating expressions, properties of real numbers and translating English to algebra.
