dc.description.abstract | This project was created by a teacher for teachers, providing alternative assessments for a geometry classroom. The assessments emphasize collaboration and group work as part of the assessment task. Topics include geometric proofs, geometric constructions, Pythagorean Theorem, trigonometry, polygons and polyhedra, volume and surface area. Recommendations for how and when to use each alternative assessment have been provided by the author. Additionally scoring rubrics have been provided. The alternative assessments are aligned to the Common Core State Standards, specifically geometry standards throughout secondary grade levels. | |
