dc.description.abstract | There is a lack of financial literacy curriculum available for teachers to support students learning of mathematical skills that are needed in real life. Financial literacy curricula can support students learning real life skills needed before independent living situations in college or career. Direct mathematical modelling and application can support students comprehension of the relationship between financial literacy and algebra. This curriculum highlights the ideology of the need to know drives learning and aligns real world financial literacy problems to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) algebra standards. | |
