This project is an investigation in building resiliency in students. Building resiliency in students through specific targeting techniques is crucial to the success of many students in schools across the country. This project will explore what resiliency theory is, and how the lack of resiliency can negatively affect student achievement. It includes specific educational techniques and interventions that can be immediately implemented in the classroom to target specific resiliency deficiencies. The central question this project seeks to answer is, "how can educators better address students who have resiliency deficiencies in the classroom, while still teaching to the Common Core State Standards?" Building resiliency can be integrated alongside Common Core content in a way that synergies both to help students learn and grow.
