dc.description.abstractThe following research portrays both students' and teachers' perceptions of a basal reading program. The participants for this study are four teachers and approximately 40 students from two 3rd and 4th grade classrooms. The participants took part in an observation session, survey, and interview. Throughout the study, both positive and negative qualities of a basal reading program were discussed and analyzed.
