dc.description.abstract | This curriculum project was designed around growth mindset principles and implementing project-based learning geared towards decreasing anxiety that is typically associated with learning mathematics. The content focus is Algebra 1 Systems of Equations. The curriculum is aimed toward students who learn most efficiently in non-traditional ways. The curriculum incorporates collaborative learning and mathematical literacy to support students as they analyze and create simultaneous equations based on real world situations. Teachers can use this curriculum to allow students to showcase their understanding of simultaneous equations through a project-based assessment at the end of the unit. | |
