dc.description.abstractEmotional effects of lacking and obtaining study skills were discussed, followed by social effects, cognitive effects, and behavioral effects. Academic coaching was described and discussed in regards to study skills instruction for students. Next, various factors and traits influencing positive study skills instructions were explained, followed by a discussion about counseling for students developing their study skills. The role of the school counselor in study skills instruction was detailed. A study that implemented an adapted study skills curriculum was discussed and evaluated.
