The objective of the project, therefore, was to develop and evaluate an annual load model for PCB transport in the Black River through the use of streamflow data, seasonality variables, and concentrations of suspended sediment (SS), total particulate nitrogen (TPN), dissolved organic carbon (DOC), and particulate organic carbon (POC) concentrations as load predictors. The data and load models will provide a characterization of the occurrence of the specific PCB congeners and the factors that control dissolved and particulate PCB transport in the Black River to Lake Ontario. The organization of the project and the project schedule are described in Appendix B.Description
