The primary goal of our research during the summer 2000 was to examine the distribution and density Eurasian watermilfoil beds and of populations of zebra mussels in Conesus Lake. The results of this study improve our knowledge of these populations and contribute to the scientific foundation required for consideration of possible management strategies. A secondary goal of this project was to extend our long term database on macrophyte growth at two sites first studied by Herman Forest and his colleagues in 1967.Description
