dc.description.abstract | Weston Solutions, Inc. (WESTON®) prepared this Sediment Assessment Report to summarize field investigation activities for the Long Pond project area in Greece, Monroe County, New York, as part of the Long Pond Area of Study (AOS) under the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) Great Lakes National Program Office (GLNPO) New York Watershed Management Section (NYWMS) project. The purposes of the field investigation activities were to (1) determine the depth and thickness of unconsolidated sediment in the Long Pond main and south basins and (2) define the horizontal and vertical distribution of total phosphorous in the unconsolidated lake sediment. The data collection activities were conducted in accordance with WESTON’s Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) dated August 2011. The objective of field investigation activities was to collect samples for total phosphorous analysis to support project area characterization and potential remediation activities. | |
