This research examines interventions for informal caregivers of people living with dementia, as well as the implications of such interventions for the quality of care provided. Family caregivers of people with dementia face numerous challenges in the course of caring for their loved ones. Several interventions currently in use to help caregivers cope includes: educational support, cognitive stimulation therapy, meetings, and telephone support. Studies used in this literature review utilized a randomized control trial (RCT) and systematic review methodology, with some evidence supporting improvement in family caregiver quality of life, which leads to better care for loved ones with dementia.Collections
