dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this synthesis project was to review the literature on factors that influence character development of youth sport athletes. An extensive review of literature was conducted in order to analysis and character development and the leading factors to its development among youth athletes. There are many positives that come along with youth sport participation, and participating in sports has been known to help in the development of character and life skills. This synthesis will review the literature on participation of youth athletes in sports and the role coaches, parents and teachers play in the impact of character development.
