dc.description.abstractPoem ("Plague") and artwork ("Enter Death, Exit Cure") explore healthcare issues and the “sickness” a transgender individual may feel. There is a need for improved transgender healthcare. Doctors should not treat transgender individuals like they have the plague, but learn about their needs and concerns.
