Improper electronic waste disposal poses a significant environmental threat globally, leading to the pollution of a multitude of the Earth's natural resources and endangering both humans and wildlife. This work outlines the development of a mobile application for iPhone Operating System devices, called E-Wayze, which aims to promote proper electronic waste disposal and recycling habits in our society. The E-Wayze app was developed using the coding language Swift and offers a user-friendly interface to assist individuals in easily identifying, categorizing, and locating the recommended disposal method for their unwanted electronic devices. The development process involved extensive research into electronic waste management practices and environmental regulations along with the creation and implementation of the iPhone Operating System application. The E-Wayze app not only addresses immediate issues regarding improper disposal of electronic waste but also contributes to the sustainability of the Earth. Through the promotion of proper recycling and responsible disposal practices, the app assists in reducing resource depletion and minimizing our environmental impact. Future iterations of E-Wayze could incorporate functionality such as barcode scanning, image recognition, and geolocation services to improve the functionality and efficiency of the process. Furthermore, additional features could be incorporated to incentivize sustainable behavior. Users could earn points and rewards for properly disposing of their electronic waste, thus encouraging user engagement. The development of E-Wayze demonstrates the potential of mobile technology to address prevalent environmental challenges by equipping individuals with the knowledge and means to dispose of their electronic waste responsibly. The E-Wayze app contributes to a more sustainable future for everyone. Keywords: electronic waste; E-waste; Swift; iOS; app development; appAccessibility Statement
