dc.description.abstract | "Art For The Heart" is about acknowledging and understanding your own emotions as well as how you process them through the use of art. I intend to display the interaction between psychology and creative expression, a unique way for people to deal with the inner and outer worlds. Through this section, we peel the curtains of the broad spectrum of the robust research base that art therapy embraces in which the many techniques it is based on are considered. Furthermore, how the art therapy works and ways you can use art therapy to promote emotional healing. I explore different ideas and methods with self therapeutic art making Vs art as therapy in therapy sessions. I will reveal my own work that I have made in therapy sessions and pieces that express how the process of making the work is therapeutic to me. This consists of a variety of mediums such as painting, drawing, and sculpture to demonstrate the different processes of therapeutic art making. | |
