Abstract
For a long time, I have grappled with the idea of the loss of innocence and when and why it leaves us. While everyones experiences will be different, I have been left wondering when and how I went from the child that must be protected, to the adult who was thrusted into such a harsh and cold world. For me, this change seemed to occur very prematurely and with zero warning. Is there a reason why some are forced to grow up so early? In this series of images, I am examining what caused the death of my innocence.
