This paper explores Potosí silver and the Pacific World through changing historiographical perspectives. By following a decade-by-decade survey on the topic starting in 1984,and ending in 2023, the reader can recognize patterns and understand how literature changes over time. The work of top scholars such as Peter Bakewell, Kris Lane, and Henry Kamen are analyzed and put into conversation with one another, as all the papers tie into the overarching theme of silver production and its integral part in creating a globalized world starting in the 15th century.Accessibility Statement
