My senior project, "Working in a Man's World: The Challenges Women Face Working in Construction," is a comprehensive exploration of the issues that women encounter in the construction industry. It also offers practical solutions that can help women overcome these challenges and thrive in their careers. The inspiration behind my senior project is my mother, who has been working in the construction industry for 32 years. She has faced many challenges throughout her career, including discrimination and harassment. However, she has persevered and has become a role model for other women in the industry. Her experiences have motivated me to explore this topic and provide insights that can help other women succeed in the construction industry.
