In this second volume of my broader senior project, Soliloquy, I explore the possibilities within femme (dis)embodiment to find a radical care praxis outside of power and projection. Depictions of the femme body in print, film, and medical culture center monstrosity. I contend that despite, and through this lens, a deconstruction of queer femme embodiment that builds on solidarity with the self and the collective are both possible and necessary. This volume utilizes an anticolonial, feminist, queer, and mad theory as its critical base but draws heavily on the methodology of autotheory. This multimodal approach allows for a more holistic view, creating the possibility for further inquiry on representations of (dis)embodiment by other artists and scholars.Accessibility Statement
