| dc.description.abstract | In Puerto Rico in 1982, after Javier's(14) parents die, he is put under the care of his siblings. Instead of caring for him, they send him to a relative in Washington Heights, NY. Javier finds a family with a gang leader, Carion(30), who takes him under his wing. Javier begins to trust him, but Carion only looks out for himself. 10 years later, this trait comes to light when Carion frames Javier for a crime, getting him arrested. Javier then decides whether to make a deal with the cops to save himself and betray Carion, or live a life in jail. | |
