dc.description.abstract | The rise of social media platforms has revolutionized the way individuals communicate, express themselves, and form identities. Among these platforms, TikTok has emerged as a particularly influential force, especially among adolescents and young adults. With its short-form video format and highly engaging algorithm, TikTok has become a central space for creative expression and social interaction. However, this influence is not without its drawbacks, particularly concerning mental health. This thesis seeks to explore these dynamics through the lens of a fictional TikTok persona, Kryx, whose life and struggles serve as a microcosm of the broader issues faced by many young people today. | |
