dc.description.abstract | Growing up, I've always lived in a house, where the majority is women. When I was brought into the world, I lived with my mom, my aunt, my grandmother, and my uncle. At one point it was all of those people plus my female cousin. At another, it was four generations of women, and that was it. Even in the brief period where I didn't live in my home I lived with three women and one man, excluding the children. I have always been surrounded by strong women. People were born into the house, and people have died in the house. This house has history with my family, and I hope to be able to continue its legacy. I know this kind of living condition isn't as common as most, and that's what makes it so special. | |
