This study investigated the association between parental autonomy support and transformational leadership in resident assistants at the State University of New York at New Paltz. Resident assistants (n= 35) were asked a series of questions about their leadership style, personality, and parents. Results indicated that there was no relationship between parental autonomy support and transformational leadership for resident assistants, but that there were relationships between father involvement and transactional leadership, and openness to new experiences and transformational leadership.The following license files are associated with this item:
