Poverty is not a choice, but a socio-economic state. It is not something to easily overcome, but to survive. During dangerous times there are no safe decisions. Every choice has weight, every decision significance. When your life (health and financial security) is threatened, existence often takes precedence over ethics. Decency may take a back seat to fiscal dependability. Sometimes the only right decision is the one that gets you to tomorrow. The purpose of my Senior Project and Thesis is to explore the reasons why people facing poverty may make decisions are illegal and or deemed amoral. I hope to provide a perspective which elicits empathy and understanding opposed to rigid, apathetic criticism.Accessibility Statement
