With the increasing use of computer networks in every aspect of our lives, the need for secure communications is highly important. While cryptography enables the concealment of information, steganography enables the hiding of information within other information. Network steganography is a subfield of steganography that is concerned with hiding information within network traffic. This paper provides a description of what steganography and network steganography are, as well as an overview of various network steganographic techniques.Accessibility Statement
