For my Spring Purchase Performance Lab senior project, I directed The Actor's Nightmare by Christopher Durang. My senior collaborators included Jacob Aaron Wade (acting concentration) and Ramsey Heitmann (acting concentration). The play revolves around George Spelvin, a self-proclaimed accountant, who is forced to star in the lead role in a group of plays after the original actor was involved in a car accident. These plays include Noel Coward's Private Lives, Shakespeare's Hamlet, a parody of Samuel Beckett's Endgame, and Robert Bolt's A Man for All Seasons. Completely unprepared and not knowing any of his lines, George must guess his way through some of history's most famous plays.Accessibility Statement
