This thesis "I've Heard it All; Press Play for Stripes and No Polka Dots" is dedicated to my two Grandmothers who passed away in the Spring of 2017, 6 weeks apart from each other. The thesis; which focuses on craft, childhood and time correlates back to my grandmothers who always took care of us (my sister and I) as kids. They always, no matter what had a place to stay for anyone who needed it and they treated everyone equally. The idea of craft regarding the use of bedsheets, the dolls and toys that are featured in my work and the idea of time (the past, present and inevitable future) correlates back to them. The use of the bedsheets instead of canvas, the doll hand making and the continuation use of childhood moments refer back to when they were alive and when I was a kid.Accessibility Statement
