This senior thesis focuses on both the peasants and Mao Zedong in China during the Great Leap Forward and how it led to the Great Famine which resulted to the death of millions of peasants. There will be discussions about what the peasants went through during this dark time and how Chairman Mao felt before, during, and after the 5-year plan has occurred.
