In this project and essay, I explore how different forms of media over the years have influenced what we think of as a perfect body and healthy lifestyle, especially with the rise of social media's involvement in our everyday lives. Seeing how health and fitness are portrayed in media can impact how we view our own bodies and potentially make us question if we are doing "enough" to maintain a healthy body and lifestyle. With a combination of scholarly research and influence from different artists, I created an original artistic project to communicate these ideas. This essay describes both my thesis and the process that went into the production of the physical project.Accessibility Statement
