My senior thesis is a comparative case study between two institutions: The Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Brooklyn Museum. What I aim to accomplish is to trace the history of each institution displaying the work of Black artists, and the ways in which this art has been pigeon-holed into being defined by its racial components whether apparent or not.Accessibility Statement
