dc.description.abstract | This piece of writing is a collection of poems, personal accounts, descriptions of artworks, and reflections on the trajectory of my practice as a performance, video, and installation artist. It serves as an extension to my visual arts practice. Through using my body, video, sound, and installation, I create worlds where we can talk about the complexities of living in a place that is more visibly divided than ever. I realize through this writing that my own experiences don't exist in a vacuum, and it is my hope that by putting myself out there we can start talking about the things we are often told not to. | |
