This research is about college students who have test anxiety that may be caused by emotional dysregulation. Attending college can be a very difficult time in a college student's life because the students are transitioning from adolescents to young adults. College life may produce a constant stress level that the college student must deal with. When students cannot regulate their emotions, it can be very difficult for them to be successful. The literature searched is lacking the correlation between the stress of college and emotions. The researcher strongly believes that there is some sort of correlation that is related to Test Anxiety. This study uses the Difficulties in Emotional Regulation Scale (DERS; Gratz & Roemer 2004), The Cognitive Test Anxiety Scale (Cassady & Johnson, 2002) and a self-reported Grade Point Average (GPA). These tests will help me to see how students who do have trouble regulating their emotions do in school. Test anxiety can determine how you are doing in school because of the testing component.
