    Abstract
Fashion has always been criticized for only being used for looks, clothing, and how well you put things together. Looking beyond those beliefs taught by society, one will begin to understand what else fashion as to offer. In four parts, this paper will emphasize that fashion is a healer, social guide, and an everyday tool that helps mold one to be who they are today. Looking beyond aesthetically pleasing outfits and brands, people will begin to enhance their social connections, their needs to be happy and become more aware of how fashion can be used in different ways. Fashion is a form of self-identity and self-expression. On an everyday basis, fashion is mainly used for communication and therapy. It is how we talk, what we talk about, what we represent and a way to make one feel better about who they are. Going in depth to understand fashion, it will encourage most to use it to their benefit. For many years fashion has been categorized as unimportant, but with the studies and learning of how it can be beneficial to one's mental state, health, and social life society will have to look at fashion in a way it's never seen it before.
