From the assassination of President McKinley to the Occupy Wall Street protests, this Senior Project attempts to chronicle a 100 year underground history of New York City's anarchists. The Anarchists are a groups of people subscribed to the idea that a society based on community values and participation could live freely and happily without the need of a state, or elected officials. Anarchists were persecuted for their beliefs and activities which included killing and attempting to assassinate bankers, speaking tours, book clubs, direct action protests, punk music, squatting, and occupying a park in the middle of Manhattan's financial district.Collections
