Female inclusivity in the arts is sparse in representation. In this research paper, I will document and reflect on the process of making and releasing a Debut EP with close attention to how gender can affect females in the music industry. I will use Autoethnography, which will highlight and analyze personal experience in the processes of recording and releasing a Debut EP. This method will depict the negative impacts of gender within the industry, in hopes of providing a new approach to balancing gender inclusion within specifically the music business. Using quantitative statistics, along with my own and other musicians experiences, I plan to show the direct effects of gender inequality.
