Logline: A young white couple who inherits a plantation must face the horrors of fate and generational trauma. Paragraph Synopsis: A young Liberal white couple, Joshua and Alana, struggle to retain their moral high ground after they become the heirs of a old slave plantation; but they find themselves slipping further into darkness after troubled spirits begin to take over them. The plantation and those who died there seek retribution for the wrongs against them. While Joshua and Alana try to live a peaceful, unassuming life, they soon learn that the price of vengeance will have to paid for with their lives. One Page Synopsis: Joshua and Alana, a young white couple living in Louisiana are discontent with their normal lives. They tire of their desk jobs and yearn for a change of pace. When Joshua's estranged grandfather dies, he leaves them a plantation that has been in the family for over a century. As liberals, they struggle with whether or not they should move into the plantation. Alana convinces Joshua that the plantation is a perfect opportunity to restart their lives in the growing trend of millennial farmers. Soon after moving in, Alana begins to suffer dreams and visions. Their relationship begins to suffer. The two are aided by the mysterious Roxanne, the descendant of the family that was previously enslaved on the plantation. Joshua slowly begins to uncover his family's past and the connection to the plantation. The source of his strained relationship with his father, brother and deceased grandfather is revealed with supernatural consequences. The quiet, country life the couple expected is overthrown when a family curse seeks to meet its logical end. Joshua discovers that his and Roxanne's fates are intertwined when she comes to collect for the years of abuse her family has faced.
