I explore the pros and cons to earning a degree in today's socio-economic climate. I present a historical overview of the evolution of labor, shifting attitudes towards attending college vis-a-vis attending a vocational or trade school, and present employment figures for both career tracks. I draw on my own work experience, and present training models to employment in other countries, as well as reasons why an individual may want to rethink how they pursue their education.Accessibility Statement
