This research aims to find ways to eliminate or reduce the use of medication in treating people suffering from anxiety disorder. Even more, introducing the use of technology and its modern day practice of counseling and psychotherapy in the form of virtual reality (VR) therapy to help treat patients dealing with anxiety disorder. Most patients with this disorder mostly rely mostly on prescription drugs like opioids for treatment, which has contributed greatly to the drug addiction and drug abuse epidemic in this country and worldwide (Kornbluh2007). In this study, the research will be focus on the use of earlier way of treating anxiety versus the new technological way, the background of these patients and what is been done in terms of accessibility to the new treatment to patients.Accessibility Statement
