Abstract
Christopher Pollak, aka the Dark Guardian, has been a real-life superhero for nearly two decades. Now, as the real-life superhero movement grows in other cities and around the world, New York City finds itself lagging behind. Many real-life superheroes that once operated in New York have since moved away or hung up their costumes for good. Chris Pollak may be the last.
