Over the past three months I created thirteen new acrylic paintings, of which I chose eight to include in my final project, Wedding Party. This is a series of expressive works, using low contrast palettes with heavy and simplified brush strokes. The paintings explore the concept of decay, both the literal decay of environment and the experiential decay of memory— how moments can feel as if they are dying as they are being created. In my paintings I aimed to simplify memories and strip them back to their emotional cores.Accessibility Statement
