This project explores how women of color perceive Instagram's impact on altering beauty standards. The presence of social media in contemporary society has undeniably reached unprecedented levels of influence, providing a platform for knowledge dissemination and self-expression. Reflecting on past decades, it becomes evident that societal norms were less accepting, particularly regarding the rigid beauty standards imposed on women necessitating conformity to specific beauty ideals.Accessibility Statement
