True North Point

Abstract

In a small suburban town on the water, a high school senior, Eve, is about to graduate at the top of her class, but on the night before graduation, she reconnects with her old friends from middle school that she had fallen out of touch with, and while hanging out with them, Heather, her once friend turned enemy, goes missing after a wakeboarding incident on the harbor. The only evidence able to be recovered is Heather's severed foot. Many people, including Eve, start believing the cause of her disappearance was something more sinister. While Eve and her friends are on the hunt for an answer to what happened to their friend, Eve also begins to question the meaning of her life, her past relationships, and her future. She asks herself what was the point of earning the top grades for the past four years and what she wants to do with the rest of her life after coming to terms with the loss of an old friend.
